Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to complete the job?

Our installers typically arrive between 8am -9am. On average it takes around 1 day to complete the average size conservatory. That includes all of the electrical work (if you want LEDS) and your new Pvc or Plaster ceiling.

Do I need planning permission for an insulated Ceiling

No! An insulated ceiling is just the same as insu- lated blinds. Your roof on the outside will still be plastic or glass.

Can my conservatory have a plaster ceiling?

Absolutely, We have installed our insulated ceilings in everything from basic lean to style conservatories upto 40m P-shape styles. We can even leave some of the glass exposed if you wanted to.

How is the roof insulated?

All of our ceilings are insulated using upto 23 seperate layers - the ceiling height will only be reduced by around 65mm or 2 inches. Cross ventilation and airflow is important and all this is done within the new ceiling.

Will the roof be warmer than my existing roof?

Absolutely! Your new roof will be significantly warmer - as warm as your living room! Our roof solutions will keep your home the perfect tem- perature all year round. Traditional conservatories often get too hot in summer and too cold in winter. Our insulation helps to keep the room warm, whilst preventing overheating through the glass during summer. Insulated ceilings outper- form any alternatives out there.

Will I lose much light?

If your conservatory is currently polycarbonate, it will actually be brighter once your new ceiling is installed. If you have a glass roof then you will lose around 10% light.
